5 Things To Do on the Manly Ferry

5 Things To Do on the Manly Ferry

Share this post:

Manly Ferry while it may be an epic view, let’s be honest after the 5 minutes it takes to get past the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge you’re probably bored. It’s a thirty-minute ferry ride so why not fill your time with one of these more unique options than calling your mum back or texting Tanya about old mate again.

Begin an Impromptu Dance Group

Here at Stoke Stays, we like to make sure our guests are prepared for anything, and there’s one thing in life you can’t avoid – dancing. This, of course, will only be more evident for you if you are on the way to Stoke Beach House, where the party is unlikely to ever stop. The thing is though, knowing how to dance is one thing, we can all put our fingers in the air and lip-sync to Mr Brightside, but if you really want to impress you need to learn how to really dance, and with a group. Imagine busting out a rendition of I Will Survive with four of your mates entirely out of nowhere at three in the morning. I’m not saying this will be easy, but it’s a 3:15 minute song, and you’ve got an entire Manly Ferry ride to come up with something. I believe in you.

300 Push-Ups

A little bit of exercise never hurt anyone, except of course Korey Stringer in 2001 (google it), and maybe you could use a little challenge. Three hundred is a lot of push-ups, but thirty minutes is also a lot of time. Here’s another little tidbit of information for you: surfing can be very intense on the muscles, and you’re going to need those muscles to be in tip-top shape if you’re going to make it out there on that Aussie coastline. Luckily for you, however, we’ve hired some of the world’s best surf instructors to make sure you’re going to be ready to tackle those waves when the time comes. I’ll tell you what, if you can push through and get three hundred done in thirty minutes (and prove it), we’ll shout you a beer during our very own Stoke happy hour.

Brush up on Your Understanding of Modern Indian History

Just because we know how to have a good time doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate a few of our brainier travellers. The classic tale of Mahatma Gandhi’s inspirational struggle for Indian independence comes up a bit more often than you might think here at Stoke, and you’re going to want to be ready for it. And hey, even if it doesn’t come up, I’m sure you’ll be happy to know a little bit more about this beautiful world we are lucky enough to live in. It’s better than doing nothing.

Commit Some of Tony Abbott’s Biggest Political Blunders to Memory Just in Case You Bump into Him at the Pub

Manly is occupied by people of all different backgrounds, views, colours, beliefs and preferences to raw onions, which is why our ex-Prime Minister Tony Abbott has found himself so comfortable living amongst our midst. Although we believe in freedom of speech and political thought, we’re also pretty into the whole not letting people get killed while trying to seek political asylum thing, which is why we encourage you to bring up a certain 2015 leadership spill if you ever bump into Uncle Tones at the Pub. He won’t mind.

Book an Extra Night at The Stoke Beach House

I know what you’re thinking, you’re going to do it anyway. But trust us, the line’s going to be massive, and it’s just going to be easier for everyone if you take this time to yourself and book yourself an extra night or two while you can. This way, if you decide to pull the big boy trigger and book a full ten-night stay with us. Besides, it’s so easy to do that you’ll probably still have time to get stuck into the whole Gandhi thing for the remainder 25 minutes of the Manly Ferry ride.

5 Things To Do on the Manly Ferry

There’s a lot you can do in thirty minutes. I mean brush your teeth, call your mum, text your mate or how about one of these more funfilled options.
