Sydney is full of epic attractions and sites you just can’t miss. Whether you’re staying at Stoke Beach House, or making your way over to us, we recommend checking out some of these epic spots.
SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
Sydney Opera House is known for its iconic architecture right on the edge of Sydney harbour. You can get an awesome view on the Manly ferry heading over to Circular Quay. If you’re feeling a bit spontaneous and bougie, check out a show while you’re there. It’s also a major insta opportunity to take some sweet pics on the front steps of the Opera House… move over Met Museum. If it’s good enough for Oprah, it’s good enough for us.
BOTANICAL GARDENS
Just around the corner from the Opera House is the start of The Royal Sydney Botanical Gardens Sydney. Perfect for soaking up some nature and spotting some Aussie flora and fauna. And the best part is… it’s totally free. Don’t be alarmed by the bin chickens; while they aren’t technically native, they are our national mascot and considered Aussie legends for being absolutely chaotic.
TARONGA ZOO
A must for the animal lovers is Taronga Zoo! One of the most famous zoos in the world for focusing on animal welfare and protection. Just a short bus ride from Manly, and you’re vibing with some koalas. Did you know that most koalas have chlamydia!? They get busy… almost as horny as some of our housemates. Speaking of good routes, the easiest way to get there is by bus from Manly. Otherwise, if you’re in the city, just jump on the ferry.
HARBOUR BRIDGE
Those ready to test their bravery and ability to hold in their nervous pee at 440 feet in the air… should check out the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. While you may get an awesome view from land, there’s nothing quite like overlooking Sydney Harbour at sunset with a bunch of legends you just met! On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Blue Mountains.
SNORKEL CABBAGE BAY
Who even needs to leave Manly for the full Sydney experience? We’ve got heaps of wicked attractions that aren’t complete tourist traps… and most of them are free too! If you’re staying at Stoke Beach House, head down to reception to rent your free snorkel gear. We recommend making your way over to Cabbage Bay or Fairy Bower for the best reefs, fish and clear water.
